The objective of the program is to create awareness among the women of Gwagwala community regarding cancer and its diagnosis.
Rhilama and Rhitse foundation welcomed the gathering to the sensitization program on the world cancer day with the theme “Close the care gap”.
Resource persons delivered keynote addresses in areas among which are
- Signs/signals of cancer.
- Types of cancer.
- Supportive schemes and services available for cancer patients.
- Some preventive measures against cancer.
- Some self-check/techniques of breast examination.
- Questions and answers sessions.
Quite a sizeable members of the community participated and identified with the program as effective and motivating.
The women leader of the Gwagwala community offered the vote of thanks and appreciated Rhilama and Rhitse Foundation and asked for God’s blessing and also attest that this has created awareness among them and has educated the women and will help in a long way as guide to the women.
